-Doubling Dates Ida M. Parduo
This is a game you can make with two
pages from a monthly calendar. Rule the
numbered days off into neat squares and cut
them apart. You'll want an equal number
of days for each month, so if one page has
31 and the other 30, throw away the extra
date. Scatter the squares, numbers down,
on a table or on the floor. Each player takes
six squares and turns them face up. At the
word GO, players start turning over the
other squares on the table, trying to find
doubles for their own six squares. Unwanted
numbers are turned face down again. The
first player to find doubles for each of his
numbers wins the game.

A Boy's Game .
The players crouch as in
leapfrog. Two other players
chase each other. The one
being chased can leap over
any of the stooped play
ers. If he steps in front of a
player and doesn't leap over
him, that player becomes
the runner and the first run
ner must assume the leap
frog position.
When the chaser tags the
runner, they change jobs
and reverse the chase.
