Reedsport-The Community
Presbyterian church here was
the scene of the wedding June
20 of Miss Nancy Marie Rosa,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.
W. Rosa, Reedsport, to Orin
B. Collier, Reedsport, son of
Mrs. Albert Esten, Trail, and
the late Clifford J. Collier.
The 8 o'clock double-ring
service was read by the Rev.
Robert Patton. Mrs. Roy Hen
derson was organist and Mrs.
Jason Boe was soloist.
The bride, given in mar
riage by her father, wore a
gown of white satin and im
ported hand-clipped Chantilly
lace with a chapel-length
train. It was trimmed with
pearls and sequins. Her bou
quet of three white orchids
she carried with a lace-covered
Bible, a gift of the bride
groom. -
Mrs. Daniel Davis, sister of
the bride, was matron of hon
or. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Victor Snively, Pilot Rock,
cousin of the bride, Miss Sally
Powers and Mies Donna In

All wore gowns of white
chiffon over blue taffeta.
Their blue veils were held by
crowns of white braided satin
and tulle. They carried Am-j
erican Beauty roses attached
to white tulle fans.
David Perlman, Portland,
was best man. Ushers were

bridegroom, Charles Waldron
and Al Urben.

Mell Davis was ring bearer,
Candlelighters were Michael
Rosa, brother of the bride.

For her daughter's wedding.
Mrs. Rosa wore a pink bro
cade gown with matching ac
cessories and a white orchid
corsage. The bridegroom's
mother wore a pink and navy
ensemble with a white orchid
corsage.
Gladioli, : chrysanthemums
and American Beauty roses,
arranged with silver ferns,
decorated the church.
Reception Held
A reception for the 200
guests was held in the church
parlors. Assisting were Mrs
Loyd Bradley and Mrs. How
ard Riley, who poured, and
Mrs. Geor'ge Edwards and
Miss Marie Chandler, aunt of
the bride, who cut the cake
Miss Karen Karcher was in
charge of the guest book and
Miss Ann Marks had charge
of the gifts.
The couple is residing at
1947 Cedar street,' Reedsport,
following a wedding trip
through Washington. For trav
eling the bride wore a blue
brocade sheath dress with
matching accessories.
She attended schools in
Portland and is a doctor's re
ceptionist.
The bridegroom, a justice of
peace for Reedsport and a
practicing attorney, attended
Prospect High school and was
graduated from Willamette
university law school.
He served two years with
the counter intelligence corps
in Germany.
Among those coming from
out of town for the wedding
were Mrs. Minnie Gamble, a
great aunt of the bride, and
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lovely, the
bride's grandparents from
Portland.

Esten, Trail, step-father of the
bridegroom; Mrs. James Col
lier, sister-in-law of the bride
groom, and children; Mr. and
Mrs. Burton Train, his uncle
and aunt, Mrs. Lee Wilson,
his sister, and her daughter,

ry Speaker and Miss Silvia
Oden, Wolf Creek, cousins of
the bridegroom; Mrs. and Mrs.

Annual Reunion

were hosts for the annual re
union of the former Surprise
Sunday School class of First
Methodist church. The dinner
was held Saturday evening,
June 27 at their home in Ea
gle Point.

Goodell-Kansky Wedding
Held in Our Lady Church
Our Lady of Fatima Catho
lie church in Shady Cove was
the scene of the wedding of
Miss Elizabeth Barbara Kan-
sky to Edwin Darrell Goodell
on Saturday, June 27. The
nuptial mass was celebrated
at 10 o'clock in the morning
by the Rev. John Ilg, Medford,
and the reception which fol
lowed was at Girls Commun
ity club here.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Steven Kansky,
3823 South Pacific highway,
and the bridegroom is a son
of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Good
ell. Los Angeles.
Mr. Kansky escorted his
daughter to the altar. Her
wedding gown was fashioned
with a bodice of rose-point
lace with Sabrina neckline
and long sleeves, and the skirt
and cummerbund were of peau
de soie ending in a chapel
length train. Her fingertip-
length tulle veil was held by
a pillbox of seed pearls and
tulle and she carried a cas
cade of white roses.
The bride wore white satin
wedding slippers which had
first b.een worn by her moth
er for her wedding in Yugo
slavia 30 years ago. She car
ried a white lace and linen
handkerchief sent to her by
an aunt in Yugoslavia.
Miss Sylvia Fiorito, Seattle,
was maid of honor and brides
maids were Miss Patricia
Long, Seattle, and Miss Anna
Musler, Medford, a cousin of
the bride. Their gowns of mint
green taffeta were designed
with full skirts, close-fitting
bodices made with chiffon
cowl necklines and chiffon
panels floating from the back.
Their picture hats and satin
pumps were of matching mint
green and they carried salmon-colored
gladioli.
William F. Goodell, Los
Angeles, was best man for his
brother and seating the guests
were Eino Kuki, Los An
geles, and Jack Stormberg,
Medford.
Arrangements of salmon-
colored and white gladioli I
decorated the church; the
pews were marked with bows
of mint green.
Girls Community club was
also decorated with the salm
on and white gladioli. Mrs.
Robert Staten and Paul Brede
poured punch; cutting and
serving the wedding cake
were Mrs. Harvey Chapman
and Mrs. James Teets. Mrs.
Harold Wehern took charge of
the gift table and Mrs. Robert
Staten poured coffee. Mrs.
Eino Kuki 'presided at the
guest book.
For the wedding and recep
tion the bride's mother wore
a gown of pale blue lace over
taffeta, white accessories and
a corsage of baby pink roses.
The bridegroom's mother was
attired in Navy blue lace with
white accessories and her
flowers were also pink roses.
Here for the wedding were
the bride's uncle, Joseph Kan
sky, Mrs. Andrew Liptick,
Mrs, William Randish, Mrs.
Helen Radicki and Nick Fio
rito, all Seattle; Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Barr and daughter,
Lynn, Portland; Harvey Chap
man and son, Johnny, Eugene.
Mr. Goodell and his bride
traveled to San Francisco and
Carmel for their honeymoon,
the bride wearing a green lin
en sheath, beige accessories
and a white rose corsage.
The newlyweds are living
in Van Nuys, Calif.
The bride a registered
nurse, was graduated from
Fairbanks High, school in
Alaska and Seattle University
School of Nursing, Seattle.
She has been on the staff of
Sacred Hearty hospital here.
The bridegrotm was gradu
ated from White River High
school, Buckley, Wash., and is
a junior in electrical engineer
ing at Los Angeles State col
lege. He is a junior engineer
in the missile division of the
Lockheed Aircraft corpora
tion.
