Abandoned Vehicles to
Be Removed by State
Salem The maintenance
division of the state highway
department has been request
ed to cooperate with Oregon
state police in the removal of
abandoned or derelict vehi
cles found on state highways
or state property, as provided
In state laws.
Reason for the state high
way engineer's request is that
such abandoned vehicles occa
sionally have no salvage val
ue resulting in no private tow
ing company being available
to remove the derelict.
Oregon law provides that
no vehicle shall be parked or
left standing upon the right of
way of any county road or
state highway outside the cor
porate limits of incorporated
cities or towns, or .upon any
state property, for a period in
excess of five days.
Taken Into Custody
Any such abandoned vehi
cle may be taken into custody
by the state police, if upon
state property, or by the coun
ty sheriff if upon county prop
erty, and held at the expense
of the owner or person entitl
ed to its possession. Private
towing services may be called

No waiting or diluting
Maytag does bath jobs for you. Just oii
trated bleach through dispenser opening; bleach
remains in dispenser until washer has filled and
washing action starts, and is automatically diluted
before being introduced into the waih water. After
washing action starts, bleach is added slowly to
provide uniform bleaching action. Only Maytag
provides this automatic delay and pre-dilution.
No bleach damage to clothes
By providing eutomaric dilution and' properly

trations of bleach from coming in contact with
clothes. Gone forever are the holes in clothes, the
weakened fibres, the uneven bleaching associated
with strong liquid bleaches.
No half-hearted detergents
