the City of Medford as the same
is designated and delineated on the
official plat thereof of record, to
wit: That certain alley dedicated to
the City of Medford, Oregon,
in the amended plat of Block 5
of the Riverside Subdivision to
the West's Addition to the City
of Medford, Jackson County,

thereof forming an eastern

The purpose of the election is
to submit to the legal voters of the
rural school district the question
of increasing the tax levy for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1959,
over the amount limited by Section
11. Article XI of the Constitution.
The reasons for -increasing such
levy are: The total levy of the
Rural School District is $2,206,606.
35. The tax base of the Rural
School District is $1,770,120.93. and
is the amount that the Rural Board
can levy without a vote of the
people. The amount to be voted
in excess of the base is $436,485.42.
The amount of tax, in excess of
the six per cent limitation pro
posed to be levied by the rural
school district of Jackson County,
Oregon, for the fiscal vear begin
ning July 1, 1959. is S436.485.42.
