why put up with sluggish kidneys ...when
relief is often so swift and easy to obtain?
Backache, diuiness, lark of energy, rest
lessness, getting up nights, may be earned
by functionally sluggish kidneys, mild
bladder irritation.
For SO year people have found swift,
effective relief with Dc WITTS PILLS.
This famous diuretic stimulant 1) flashes
congest ire waste material out of kidneys;
2) increases circulation of blood through
the area; 3) reduces irritation of kidneys
and bladder; 4) fights infection and
resists reinfection.

th hfintW 1 WAS teaching in a village school in the Ozarks when I met him. He
l icxyjyjy gn man but he still had a tkie jn his eye. His favorite pas-
nhiloc:rrhpr time was taking long walks through the hills. I often met him on the
pi IIIUULJI I CI road and he always had a friendly greeting, which invariably consisted
of, "It's a fine day, isn't it?"
One Winter day I was hurrying home through a blinding sleet storm.
On the way, I met the old man. As usual, he said, "It's a fine day,
isn't it?"
This was too much, so I blurted, "How can you call this a fine day?"
"Well," he said, pausing slightly, "It's the finest day of its kind I've
ever seen." Otto Rayburn, Eureka Springs, Ark.

while visitinc in England last Summer, we were charmed with the
casual salesmanship of the British. We could browse as long as we
wished; the salesladies, if asked, would discuss any article, even pointing
out its weaknesses. The advertisements and salescards were all of a
"soft-sell" kind. We still laugh over the neat card in a window of a
large department store which announced what we Americans would
call a "bargain day" or a "moment of madness." Instead, with customary
British restraint, it quietly announced, "Rather Special Day."
Lucille Elgin, Texarkana, Tex.
after moving to a new neighborhood, I learned about a unique baby
sitting club.
Each mother has the telephone number of every other member, and
whenever she wants a baby-sitter she calls until she finds a mother who
is free for the needed time. The member sits for nothing, but is given
credit for the total number of hours she donates. Then when this mother
needs a sitter, she calls someone else, and so on.
It operates on the honor system, of course, since each mother is
expected to contribute an equal amount of time. This way no , one pays
anything, yet each is assured of a dependable sitter. It works wonderfully
for us. Mrs. Ray Eisenhart, Sturtevant, Wis.
