the state or about 32 per cent

In spite of the telephone
company's preparations, Cre
ager said that because of the
volume of long distance clls
some may be delayed or even
not completed on Christmas
Eve or Christmas Day.
Creager suggested several
ways by which telephone
users can help speed the
handling of holiday calls:-
1. If possible place Christ
mas greeting calls an evening
before Christmas Eve. There
will be a better chance of
getting through.
2. If you are planning ; a
holiday call and don't have
the number, call the long
distance operator before
Christmas and she will help
you get it. She will also give
you the- proper route for
placing the call.
3. When you place your
call, give the operator the
telephone number and rout
ing information for the person
you are calling.
