United States is preparing .to
send Communist Yugoslavia
about $100 million more in
economic aid.
Part of the new assistance,
they said, will be designed to
take up some of the slack left
when Russia last summer
backed out of its agreement to
assist Yugoslav Marshal Tito's
industrial program.
This will bring to about
$900 million the amount of
American economic aid to
Tito since 1950 to help him
pursue a course independent
of Moscow.
