in Ann Arbor, report that one

acne is just to scrub the face
four times a day with soap.
This will help to get rid of
the unpleasant greasiness of
the skin, and it willtend to
open up the mouths of the
pores so that the fat can get
out before it produces pim
ples. A New Drug for Diabetes
At a recent conference in
New York City, a new drug,
called chlorpropamide was de-scribed-another
drug that can
be taken by mouth . for the
treatment of diabetes. It was
said to be twice as powerful
as the other drug of its type,
and it has been found to have
a longer lasting effect. The re
search was reported by Drs.
Philip Johnson, Allen Hennes
and Kelly M. West, of the
University of Oklahoma. Dr.
Wes and Dr. Stanley R. Mc
Campbell found that two
hours after taking the drug
it produced low blood sugar
levels. It is to be hoped now
that the new drug will be
found to be safe and without
unpleasant side-effects. If so,
even more diabetics will be
able to discard their syringe.
The chances are that diabetics
over middle age will be the
ones most often benefited.
