Average price for 1853 head

These cattle sold for a total
of $288,620.83 making it the
largest single sale ever held in
the Rogue River Valley.

compliments them on the fine
quality of the cattle produced in
this area.
During the years we have op
perated this market we have seen
a very great improvement in the
quality, and weight for age of
the calves and yearlings produced
in this valley. Rogue Valley cat
tlemen no longer need to take a
backseat to any other livestock
producing area in these desire
able qualities, and this is born
out by the prices paid here last
week which were equal to those
paid anywhere on the west coast.
We wish to apologize to those
we had to turn away for lack
of room and also for the crowded
condition under which some of
the cattle were penned.
We intend to undertake anoth
er expansion program which will
correct this condition for future
sales.
