SMOOTH LAUNDRY
Use a good brand of paste
wax on clothes chutes or in
side wooden laundry hampers
to avoid snagging laundry
fabrics on the rough wood.
That is the advice of tech
nicians at the American Insti
tute of Laundering, who say
that snags contribute a great
deal to clothing damage after
washing.
The hamper or chute also
should be checked for rough
edges and joints and, if there
are any, these should be sand
ed down before the waxing.
