    August now rivals June as the month of brides, and Mrs. Donald
Dean McLaughlin, the former Susan Ankeny Barnes, chose this
month for her wedding. The McLaughlin-Barnes marriage cere
mony took place August 23 at noon at Sacred Heart Catholic
church.
Mrs. William E. Byrne was Patricia Ann Strader before her mar
riage August 24 at St. Mark's Episcopal church here. The newly
: weds will live in Corvallis, Ore., where the bridegroom is a senior
at Oregon State college. (Land is photo).
A garden ceremony Sunday, August 24, married the former Bev
erly Ann Barksdale of Ashiand to Leon Ralph McDougall, Medford.
About 300 guests from all parts of the valley attended the event;
the newlyweds will live in Stayton, Ore. .

Mrs. Thomas J. York was Carol Jean Russell of Central Point. The
newlyweds will live ?n San Jose, Calif., where the bridegroom

Wedding Bells Ring
Mrs. Gaynor David Huck (Judith Allyn Hall) was married in one
of late summer's largest weddings. The ceremony took place
August 24 at Medford's First Presbyterian church, with more than
300 guests attending. The couple will live in Ashland.

Mrs. Don Roger Claspill was Lois Elaine Evers, Shady Cove, before
her marriage. The ceremony was performed by her father, the
Rev. Ernest Evers, Shady Cove, assisted by her uncle, the Rev. Paul

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Emery Horton (Claudia Marie Ash) were mar
ried in the Assembly of God church in Shady Cove August 23, and
will live in San Francisco. Both bride and bridegroom have "been
students at Simpson Bible college in that city. (Brainerd photo).
The reception which followed the wedding of Susan Barnes to
Donald McLaughlin was held in the garden at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnes, Hillcrest road. The
newlyweds are pictured with their mothers (Mrs. Barnes at right),

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ralph McDougall, married only a few minutes,
look at their new wedding rings. Both the bride and bridegroom
were born in Jackson county and have lived here all their lives.
