Dangers Seen in Two Proposals
Salem (UPD Abolition of
the Board of Control and
stripping of the Secretary of

proposal before the Legisla

Government Reorganization
here Friday by Warne Nunn,
Assistant Secretary of State.
Nunn said he would have
future comment concerning
attempts to take accounting
duties from the Secretary of
State.
Under consideration , were
proposals to take responsibil
ities for buildings and
grounds away from the Sec
retary of State and give them
to the Department of Finance
and Administration.
Some 100 employees would
be involved in the switch. '
Proposed bills also" dis
cussed would take 'he build

of Control and from some
other boards and commissions
and vest it in the Finance. De

Kitsap counties, according to
the Department of Natural
Resources.
Nunn said.
Nunn told the committee
he thought the Finance De
partment was seeking power
that the people had vested in
the Board of Control for the
past 45 years.
