poned by rainly weather.
These were Eagle Point at
Central Point, Lone Pine at
Medford Wildcats and Med
ford Tigers at Ashland Bears.
In Monday cub division
scuffles Medford drubbed the
Grants Pass Bears 15 to 1 and
the Grants Pass Cubs blanked
Ashland 14 to 0. Medford
pitchers Herb "Wheeler and
Doug Kinney combined for a
no-hitter.
Seven In Second
In its pee wee mix yester
day the Ashland nine put over
seven runs in the second in
ning on three hits, three walks
and two errors. Westfall trip
led for Talent.
Grants Pass Cubs had the
services of "Dick Hayes, stel
lar pitcher for Grants Pass
high and junior Legion teams,
in beating Ashland.
Medford also had a seven
run sixth in its cub league mix
on Monday. Bob Custance
homered for the locals and
Dick Ragsdale punched two
triples. Jim Berry and Bob
Quinney each three-baggered
and singled in the mix and
Jim Shaw had two for two.
Wheeler gave up seven
walks and Kinney three.
