The Groote Beer, meaning
' Great Bear in Dutch, was
never used by Goering. The
war ended anw the yacht
passed back into Dutch hands
before it could be delivered to
the Nazi. It was later pur
chased byOn American yacht
man who sailed it on the east
coast for two years. It was
then sold to Portland lumber
m Robert F. Johnson who
sailed it in the Caribbean and
in South American waters be
fore entering it' in the Trans
pacific yacht race last sum-

The federal officer said that
Cohen became belligerent
when he called him into his
office last March 26, refused
to shake hands, screamed ob
scenities and struck him on

to calm Cohen but when he
saw he was going to be forced
to defend himself he swung
a right which sent the ex
boxer spinning to the floor.
Cohen came off the floor
scratching and clawing, Chap-
pel said, and was knocked
down ain.
The officer said Cohen had
"objected to an investigation
by federal narcotics agents.
Touching on that investiga
tion, Chappel said Cohenhad
been connected with persons
active in the narcotics traf
fic but that the. ex-gambler
had not been linked directly
with the crime.

received enough evidence to
warrant expenditure of time
and agents to further invest-.
