Armory Projects m
Given Approval
Washington (UPI) The
House Armed Services com
mittee approved today con
struction projects totaling
324,936,010 for the Army Na
tional Guard ' and the Army
and Navy reserves.
Congress previously had
made money available for the
projects. However, the law
requires the services to get
final clearance from the
House and Senate Armed
Services committees.
The total included $10,326,-
000 in National Guard armory
construction, $2,348,000 in re
lated nuard construction,
$11,556,000 in Army Reserve
work and $706,010 in Naval
Reserve projects.

plunged off a 20-foot high
trestle here Monday and piled
up in a marsh. Railroad offi

girl over her fiance's death
in a plane crash turned to
shock Monday when she met
his wife.
Esther Cole was to have
been married in two weeks
to Army Sgt. Thomas Rad
cliff, 24, of Radford, Va. But
Saturday he and Sgt. Michael
Sawyer . were killed when
their light plane crashed after
takeoff from an airport near

Radcliffe had flown here to
discuss plans for the wedding.
