LEGAL NOTICES
NOTICE Or SCHOOL ELKCTIOX
I'PON QUESTION OF INCREAS
ING TAX LEVY OVEK AMOUNT
LIMITED BY SECTION 11, ARTI
CLE XI, STATE CONSTITUTION
Notice is hereby given that an
election will be held in School Dis
trict No. 10 of Jackson County,
State of Oregon, from 2:00 P.M. to
8:00 P.M. on June 16. 1958. at
schoolhouse in said school district,
for the purpose .of submitting to
the legal voters of said district the
question of increasing the tax levy
for the fiscal year 1958-1959 over
the amount limited by section 11.
article XI, of the Constitution of
Oregon.
The reasons for increasing such
levy are :
The Budget Board has approved
a levy of S68.889.05. The district
has no tax base. The entire levy
of S68.889.05 is in excess of the
6 limitation.
This election is being called to
vote the required correct levy of
$68,889.05.
The levy of S27.245.53 voted on
May 5, 1958 election was not the
total correct levy.
This correction does not change
the adopted budget or tax levy.
The amount of tax, in excess of
the 6 limitation, proposed to be
levied for said fiscal year is
68.889.05.
Dated this 22nd day of May, 1958.
