ford attorney, has been named
to the state-wide committee
for the election campaign of
Sam Bowe, Grants ' Pass at
torney, who is a candidate for
Oregon Supreme Court jus
tice, position No. 3. '
Bowe has had 25 years ex
perience as a lawyer since
his graduation from Willam
ette university. He served in
the Army during World War
II and was the first World War
II veteran to be state com
mander of the American Le
gion. - Bowe is presently on the
board of bar examiners for
the state and formerly served
the board of governors for the
Oregon state bar for three
years. He has also served as a
member of the advisory com
mittee to the director of Vet
eran's affairs since 1951.

Newport, Penn., Jan. 22, 1884.

Injured in Crash
A former Medford resident
was recently released from a
Portland hospital where he
had been a patient since Feb.
23, following a plane crash.
The flier, Glen Yost, 27, a
son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Yost,
518 Haven st., Medford, suf
fered skull fractures, a hip
fracture, other broken bones
and internal injuries in the
crash, relatives here reported.
Yost and his wife, the form
er Yvette Sweet, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Sweet
2045 South Stage rd., now live
in Beaverton. Yost, whds al
ready held a pilot s license,
was taking his last flight be
fore receiving his commercial
aviator's license when the ac
cident' occurred.
The young man still wears
