Notice is hereby given to the legal voters of school district No. 3C of Jackson County,
State of Oregon, that a SCHOOL MEETING of the said district will be held at Schoolhouse
on the 8th day of May, 1953 at 8:00 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of discussing the budget
for the fiscal vear beginning Julv 1, 1953 andending June 30. 1959, hereinafter set forth.

Sealed bids for the construction
of an Addition to the Phoenix High
School, at Phoenix, Oregon, will be

ORDER MODIFYING BAG LIMIT
FOR FISH LAKE,
JACKSON COUNTY
WHEREAS the Oregon State
Game Commission at the stated
meeting thereof held on January
10 and 24, 1958. pursuant to ORS
496.190, by written findings then
and there found and determined
the general bag limit for the taking
of trout not less than six inches
in length to be 10 fish per day,
not more than 5 of which may be
12 inches or over; 20 fish in pos
session or in 7 consecutive days,
not more than 10 of which may be
12 inches or over; and
WHEREAS said findings and de
terminations were, at said meeting,
then and there duly adopted as
and for the regulations of said
Commission, governing the taking
of game fish by hook and line,
commonly called angling, and
WHEREAS in the judgment of
said Commission, it is in the best
interests of the State that said find
ings and regulations be modified to
increase the bag limit and eliminate
the minimum length limit for trout
taken in Fish Lake, Jackson Coun
ty, because of a proposed chemical
treatment of the lake: and
WHEREAS due notice of a hear
ing on April 25, 1958, to modify
such findings and regulations was
published at least two weeks prior
to the date thereof in at least two
issues of two newspapers; to wit:
The Oregon Journal and The Ore
gonian; each a newspaper of gen
eral circulation throughout the
state published in Portland, Oregon;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS OR
DERED, that the findings and regu
lations of the Oregon State Game
Commission adopted at the regular
meeting of said Commission on
January 10 and 24. 1958, respec
tively, regulating the general bag
limit and minimum length limit
for trout be modified with respect
to Fish Lake in Jackson County,
and tfrat the following bag limit
hereby is adopted for said lake:
thirty trout regardless of .size in
any one day and sixty such fish
in possession during the open sea
son for said lake from April 26 to
October 5, both date inclusive.

TION Notice is hereby given that an
election will be held in School
District No. 9 of Jackson County,
State of Oregon, from 2, P.M. to
8 P.M. on May 12, 1958. at High
School Gym in said school district,
for the purpose of submitting to
the legal voters of said district the
question of increasing the tax levy
for the fiscal year 1958-1959 over
the amount limited by section 11,
article XI, of the Constitution of
Oregon.
The reasons for increasing such
lew are :
The tax base is inadequate to
cover the budgetary needs. For
years it has been necessary to
exceed the 6 limitation.
The amount of tax. in excess of
the 6 limitation, proposed to be
levied for said fiscal year is $208,

named district, for the purpose
of electing nominees for handler

questirn of establishing a new tax

present tax base is nothing, the
new tax base if adopted will be
