SWtter-Skatter Maude E, Hallmer
1SJ his is a good game for a group of players. Make a
double circle with each player in the inner circle
. a r.nrtnpr in the outer circle. One player stands
tu iAAU anrl rails. "Back to back!" The players turn so
their backs are toward each other. Then he calls, "Face to
face!" and they face each other; next, "Side to side!" and they
put their shoulders together; "Hand to hand!" and they touch
hands as in pat-a-cake. The caller may give these directions
in any order. But when he suddenly calls, "Skitter-skatter!"
everyone must get a new partner. The caller tries to find a
partner, too, and if he succeeds, the one left out becomes the
next caller. Of course, if the first caller doesn't find a partner,
he continues calling directions and tries again.
