a wonderfully independent new way of life with the promise of dig
nity, comfort and security for so long as they shall live.
Read These Facts Concerning The Rogue Valley Manor
MEMBERSHIP FEE
The Membership Fee varies according to the size
of the apartment you choose, from $6,800 and
up. This fee is for a home you will be proud of,
and completely at ease in, for the rest of your
life. The fee covers basic furniture (you are free,
of course, to bring your own well-loved pieces)
and furnishings, such as wall-to-wall carpeting,
blinds, and in most apartments, a kitchenette.
LIFE-CARE PLAN
The life-Care fee covers personal services fur
nished to Rogue Valley Manor members. These
include meals and medical care, flat laundry
service weekly, heavy house cleaning, utilities.
heating and air-conditioning (both under your
personal control through room thermostats in
the apartments), free bus service to downtown
Medford and many other comforts and necessi
ties. Life-Care is paid for monthly by a fee based
on the current economy, at non-profit, minimum
rates. The fee is to be $110 per month for or
iginal members when the Manor opens.'
FINEST FOOD
At Rogue Valley Manor members will be served
by uniformed waitresses in the spacious, car
peted dining room with large view windows.
Tables will seat 2, 4 or 6 and you may freely
choose where you sit and with whom you dine.
Dining hours and menus will be flexible. If you
require a special diet, your meals will be pre
pared under doctor's orders in the Diet Kitchen
without any extra cost. There are always the
facilities of your apartment kitchenette for in
formal entertaining, or for occasions when you
don't care to use the dining room.
MEDICAL CARE
At Rogue Valley Manor medical care will in
clude services of our staff physician, services of
staff nurses on duty day and night, use of in
firmary and room care if confined to room. In
our infirmary we will be able to care for 40
persons in bed at one time; in private, or in
two-, three-, or four-bed rooms. We cannot per
form any surgery or extend any of the so-called
true hospital services, such as laboratory work
' or X-rays. We do, however, care for members
who may have heart attacks, strokes and other
older-age ailments. We also provide, without
additional charge, convalescent nursing service
for members after surgery, or broken bone set
ting, regardless of the time involved. Essentially
we feel that our medical plan offers about
90-95 of the care needed by most members,
.(included in the fee) and that only occasionally
will any member need outside medical care.
