nection with its former presi
dent, Dave Beck.
Hoffa was elected president
of the Teamsters, the nation's
biggest union, after Beck re
tired in the wake of Senate
Rackets Committee charges
that he "borrowed" $32,000 in
union funds.
Hoffa announced Thursday
that Beck would be stripped
of some of the trappings he
acquired as, Teamsters presi
dent.
Hoffa sad that as of April
80 Beck would be deprived of
his union-provided, free office
in Seattle and his union
limousine.
Union officials said the Ex
ecutive Board might also strip
Beck of his union-bought
$160,000 Seattle home that in
cludes a private movie theat
er. Apparently the $50,000-a-
year pension the Teamsters
pay him was to be left untouched..
