The first week in April this year brought a number
of early spring weddings and one of the season's largest
benefit events, the 1958 Easter Monday luncheon of St.
Anne's Altar society, Sacred Heart Catholic church. The
luncheon has been given annually for more than 35
years, and this year members and 'guests filled both
wings of Rogue Valley Country club for. the event. Circus
music, in keeping with the party theme, greeted guests
as they arrived, and the luncheon tables were centered
with clown faces made from popcorn balls in pastel colors
and wearing paper hats. Mrs. John L. Raapke was deco
rations chairman.
