CENTERPIECE SUGGESTION
For a fun-for-everyone centerpiece,
plan an Easter egg hunt at the
table. Borrow the kiddies' Easter
basket and conceal a small gift for
each person in the Jiottom. Tie one
end of a colorful ribbon to. each
gift; trail the other end to a place
setting. Top the basket, of course,
with the usual gay paper and col
ored eggs. Each person "hunts" to
the end of his or her ribbon and is
rewarded with the find.
DYE EGGS THE EASY WAY
for "every color of the rainbow
eggs, get out your regular food
color kit Follow directions on the
package for blending colors and
dyeing the eggs. Easy to do, even
for the small fry. Add Individual
touches through the use of sequins,
stars and strips of colored tape.

Jayne Mansfield
Named in Petition
Hollywood OP) Actress '
Jayne Mansfield's former hus
band, Paul J. Mansfield, to
day opposed the blond
beauty's efforts to take their
7-year-old daughter, Jayne
Marie, to Europe.
Miss Mansfiled petitioned
the court for permission to
take the girl to England be
tween April 26 and Sept. 30
while she works on a picture,
there.
Mansfield, now living in
Chattanooga, Tenn., opposed
the petition and asked that
Jayne Marie be permitted to
join him and his second wif
while the actress is out of the
country.
He also asked that his
daughter be permitted to visit
him six weeks each summer,
adding that he had not seen
Jayne Marie since Christmas,
1956.
Miss Mansfield, now mar
ried to Mickey Hargitay, di
vorced Mansfield Oct. 23,
1956. She agreed then not to
take her daughter out of
California without court per
mission. Superior Judge Elmer D.
Doyle set April 16 for a hear
ing on the matter.
Speculation on
Khrushchev Visit
Budapest, H u n g a r y (IB
Western sources speculated to
day the visit here by Nikita
Khrushchev may be aimed at
shaping a new policy of co
operation between Russia and
the East European bloc.
Reports circulated in
Vienna that a full East Eu
ropean satellite conference
will be held in Budapest after
the April 4 ceremonies cele
brating Russian "liberation
of Hungary from the Ger
mans in World War II.
The talks were opened
Wednesday by Khrushchev
and Hungary's top party and
government " leaders. Further
talks were called for today.
Khrushchev arrived here
only a week after he became
Soviet Premier in addition to
his old job as Communist
Party leader, and four days
after disclosure of a meeting
between Hungary's First
Party Secretary Janos Kadar
and Yugoslav President Tito.
Diplomatic sources believed
Russia and Yugoslavia had
joined forces to back up the
regime of Kadar who had
been reported facing internal
party trouble from various
factions pushing for more
power.
