Notice is hereby given that sealed
oids will be received by the under
signed at the City Hall in the Citv
of Medford, Oregon, until the hour
of 7 JO o'clock P.M. on March 6,
1958. and immediately thereafter
will be opened by the City Council
of the City of Medford, Oregon,
for the purchase of City of Med
ford Water Main Bonds, Series M,
in the sum of $21,532.76, to be
dated March 1. 1958.
Each of said bonds shall be In
the principal amount of $500.00.
except Bond No. 1. which shall be
in the principal amount of $32.76.
The said bonds shall be numbered
from one (li to forty-four (44 1, in
clusive, and shall mature in ten
(10) years from the date thereof,
and shall bear interest at not to
exceed six per cent, (6) per an
num, as shall be designated by the
purchaser, payable semi-annually
on March 1 and September 1 of
each year. Said bonds shall be
wholely or in part subject to re
demption upon the payment of the
face value thereof with accrued
interest to the day of payment at
any semi-annual coupon period at
or after one year from the date
of such bonds, as provided in Sec
tion 123 of the Charter of the City
of Medford. Oergon. Each bid shail
be in writing and accompanied by
the certified check of the bidder
drawn upon a bank doing business
in the State of Oregon for not less
than S430.65. All bids shall be for
not less than the par value of the
said bonds and accrued interest
thereon. Bonds shall be sold sub
ject to the approving opinion of
Winfree. McCulloch. Shuler &
Sayre, Attorneys at Law, Portland,
Oregon, as to the validity thereof.
The Council reserves the right to
reject any and all bids.

the minimum amount of $50,000.00
for injuries to one person and
$100,000.00 minimum for one acci
dent. He shall carry property
Damage Insurance to the minimum
amount of $10,000.00, protecting
himself, his employees. School Dist

Directors of the School District
evidence that all such insurance is
being carried.

On Feb. 18, a meeting was
held at the Bernie Hughes
home. We discussed how to
run the meeting.
We came to a conclusion
that the Beef, Swine and
Dairy would be together.

West Side Beef Club
The West Side Beef club
held a meeting Feb. 15 at the
home of Mary Daniels. Each
member made a report on a
breed of livestock. We saw a
movie called "Tex, the Cham
pion Steer." We also saw sev
eral film strips on swine,
sheep and beef. Each mem
ber brought a sample of his
feed to show the other mem
bers. For the next meeting,
each member is to know the
parts of sheep, pigs and cattle.
The next meeting will be held
March 8 at the home of
Marsha Watson.

The Hayburners 4-H Horse
club held a meeting Feb. 14
at the home of Penney Samp
ert. Each member was asked
to identify various parts of
the saddle and bridle. Plans
were made for the Friendship

a breed of horses. The next
meeting will be held at the
home of Linda Gibson on
March 8.
