Wright is laminated to table top.
New equipment and ideas help make this country-house kitchen
a homemaker's dream come true. It's easy to keep up, and the
step-saving layout conserves time and energy.
Stained a dark toast color, the pine cabinets hide finger marks and
can be cleaned with a damp cloth. White Formica counters are
simple to wipe off, too, and hold hot dishes without scarring. The floor
is covered with slow-to-soil marbleized linoleum in black and white.
Behind eye-catching appearance, the plan is for efficiency and space
utilization. For example, when not in use, the electric hot plates fold
up against the wall, leaving the counter free for serving purposes. Even
a short wall space is put to work by a narrow table that serves
small meals. And for convenience, the big door of the electric wall oven
opens sideways from the center. Although small in size,
this kitchen provides all the advantages of a larger one.
