wall. Throw a dollar bill down in front of
him, very close to his feet. Tell him he
can have it, if he can pick it up but only
if he doesn't move his feet or bend his
knees. He can't do it!

Tapper and Bogey Jane McHenry
ere is an old game first played by children in Belgium,
who scampered around in their wooden shoes. The person
chosen to be IT is called "Tapper." He chases all the -
others until he taps one, who must race Tapper to a selected tree, and if
he gets there first, he is free. If he doesn't, he is a Bogey and must
stand with one foot or hand touching the tree at all times,
while Tapper keeps busy trying to catch the others. Tapper
must also keep an eye on Bogey, for he can be freed if touched
by another player. When Tapper gets another Bogey, he'
joins the first Bogey at the tree, holding his hand, and so must all
the others who are tagged. Tapper continues till all players
are lined up at the tree.

How to Make a Windmill

A tall windmill can be made
in a few minutes from a square
paper milk bottle. Cut two pieces
for the arms and sails from stiff
paper; use the first as a pattern
for the second so they will be
alike. Cross them in the middle
and hold them together with a
piece of sticky tape. Stick a pin
or thumbtack through the exact
center and fasten to the milk
carton. Cut a door and windows
in the sides of your windmill.
Mills like this were once used
in many lands for grinding wheat
into flour. Holland is famous for
the windmills that pump water
from farmlands that are below
sea level.
