Traffic Safety
Inventory Taken
The annual inventory of
traffic safety activities in
Medford was completed and
will soon be forwarded to the
National Safety council, ac
cording to the inventory rep
resentative, Clyde Fichtner,
city police captain.
The inventory is assembled
by representatives of the city
police department, Medford
Safety council, city traffic de
partment, schools and the
Traffic Safety committee of
the Medical society. This is
the 10th year the city has tak
en part in the program, he
said.
The report contains infor
mation on death and injury
records, accident records, traf
fic engineering, police traf
fic supervision, traffic courts,
school traffic safety education
and public safety education.
The National Safety council
will examine the inventory,
suggest improvements in the
weak areas. The National
Safety council also compares
the measures being used in
traffic safety to those of oth
er cities the same size.
