Cartoon Place Cards
"injl" Julia Handy
j i : f you're having a party where place cards are in order, here's
Mi. P. an idea. Some magazines feature single picture cartoons which
show funny situations that often remind you of people you know. When
you see a really funny and appropriate one, clip and save it. Later you
can mount each one on cardboard and use it as a place card. The party will get
off to a gay starlras people recognize one another, and try to find themselves.

Somersault Race '
Nat Bradford
ave you ever heard of a somersault
race? This is a boy's game and it's
fun! The players line up until the starter
says "Go!" and points to the goal about 25 feet away.
Each player must then take a somersault, stand up
straight, take only one step, then do another somer
sault, stand up again, etc., until he reaches the goal.
The one who takes more than one step is out of the
race. The first one to reach the goal is,
of course, the winner!

Who Wants a Cracker?
-7" Nat Bradford
ou should have several play
JliL ers for this funny game.
Each player races to a paper bag placed 50
feet away, eats the three soda crackers it
contains, then brings back the empty bag to the
starting place. Then each player tries to
whistle. The first one to do so wins!
Did you ever try to whistle
after eating three dry crackers?

Proud and handsome,

Slender as a bobby pin.
In Summer's green he

Cherry red, a feather

While beside the snow
he's bright
Red against the Winter
