Couple to Live in Medford
After Honeymoon in Mexico
Miss Peggie Ann Pearson,
daughter of Mrs. Floyd Ralston,
Grants Pass, became the bride of
Richard Eugene Foy, son of Mr
and Mrs. E. A. Foy, Route 1, Box
.524. Medlord. in a ceremony
held Friday, November 29, at
Eeth.tny Presbyterian church
chapel in Grants Pass.
The Rev. J. A. Marquam offi
ciated at the seven o'clock eve
ning double ring ceremony at
tended by 60 relatives and
friends. Blue and white flowers
decorated the church for the
vedding.
The bride wore a ballerina
length white lace over white
satin gown and carried a bou
quet of white carnations.
Miss Delia Sinn was maid of
honor. She wore a ballerina
length pale blue gown with bouf
fant skirt and wore a corsage of
pink carnations.

The couple will make their
home in Medford when they re
turn from a wedding trip to Aca
pulco, Mexico. For her traveling

The bride attended Grants
Pass High school and Pacific
University. She was employed
during the summer at a lookout
by the Southern Oregon Forest
ry Service. Mr. Foy attended
Oregon State college and South
ern Oregon college and is a part
ner in the Medford Air Service
with which he is a pilot.

and Mrs. D. E. Millard, Eagle
Point. The bride is a daughter or.
Mrs. A. G. Cleveland, Jackson
ville, and Curt Jeschke, Phoenix.
She has been making her home
in Eugene. Mr. Robinson is a son
of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Robin
son. Eugene.
The Rev. Mr. Millard officiat
ed at the three o'clock afternoon
ceremony attended by 45 rela
tives and friends. Baskets of
white chrysanthemums and pink
carnations decorated the Mil
lard home for the wedding. The
Millards sang.
Given in marriage by her fa
ther, the bride wore a pink wool
suit with pink accessories and
white orchid corsage.
Mrs. Robert Dallaire, Los An
geles, was matron of honor for
her sister. She wore a cham
pagne colored dress with white
headdress and corsage of pink
carnations.
Kenneth H. Kivett, Eugene,
served as best man for his brother-in-law.
The couple will make their
home at Westwood court, Eu
gene, after a wedding trip to
the Oregon coast. The bride at
tended Crater High school and
was employed as a receptionist
for the Northwest Photographic
studio, Eugene. The bridegroom
attended Springfield High school
and Oregon Technical Institute
and is employed as a commercial
artist by the Eugene Register-
Guard.
Out-of-town guests attending
the wedding included relatives
of the bridegroom. Among them
were Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Rob
inson, parents, Mr. and Mrs
Kenneth H. Kivett, brother-in-
law and sister, and Mr. and Mrs
John Winslow, brother-in-law
and sister, all Eugene. Relatives
of the bride included Mr. and
Mrs. t. M. Khoten and son
James, Eugene, uncle and aunt,
Miss Sharon Jeschke, Klamath
Falls, cousin, and Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Dallaire, and son, Bobby,
Los Angeles.

Altrusans to Hold
Party at Dippels
The annual Christmas party
of Medford Altrusa club will be
held at the home of Mrs. Ad
rienne Dippel, where it has been
held every year since the club
was organized in 1952.
The event will take place Fri
day, December 13, at 7:30 p.m.
Desert will be served by the
hostesses, Mrs. Dipple, Mrs. Mar-1
garet Miles, Mrs. Virginia Sher
wood, Miss Ruth Kilbourn and
Mrs. Enid Rankin. Mrs. Francis
Schuhard will be in charge of
music for the evening.
A novel contest will be eon
ducted and a prize given for the
best dressed doll brought by
members as their Christmas gift
for the children of the valley
who are to receive Christmas
baskets. The dolls will be given
to the Lady Lions who are as
sembling, cleaning and dressing
dolls for the annual project.
The prize doll will be christ
ened "Miss Altrusa of 1957." All
present will be judges, voting
for their favorite. Mrs. Miles
will be in charge of the contest.
Other gifts for teen-agers, such
as costume jewelry, will be part
of the Christmas gift project.
Members and guests will ex
change gifts and a social eve
ning is planned.
At a luncheon meeting Novem
ber 30 the public affairs commit
tee, headed by Mrs. Bertha Has
kins, reported on the recent
Safety Fair for which Altrusa
had a booth. The committee
plans to take tne club exhibit,
which was a map of the city
which visitors to the booth
marked with red flags at points
considered to be traffic hazards,
to the next meeting of the Med
ford Safety council.
Women of Rotary
Plan Yule Party
The annual Christmas party
of Women of Rotary will be
held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday,
December 11. in the home of
Mrs. S. Ralph Dippel, 1 East
wood drive. Gifts not to exceed
fifty cents in value will be
exchanged.

Open House Honors Couple
On Fiftieth Wedding Day

George Atkins, 1634 Orchard
Home drive, celebrated their
fiftieth wedding anniversary
Sunday, December 1.
Open house was held at the
home of their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wendel
Panter, Central Point, in honor
of the couple.
The anniversary cake was
served from a table decorated
with a heart-shaped center-piece
of golden chrysanthemums and
taper candles of pink. For the
occasion Mrs. Atkins wore a
fiesta pink dress. A matching
corsage of rosebuds was present
ed to her by her daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Paul Atkins.
Mr. and Mrs. Atkins were mar
ried in Kansas, and have lived in
the Rogue River valley for 28
years. Here for the occasion were
all of the Atkins children and
families. They are Mr. and Mrs.
Christmas Party
Set For Sunday
Colonel Sargent camp and
auxiliary, United Spanish War
Veterans, will hold the annual
Christmas party Sunday, De
cember 15, at 1:30 p.m. in Red
man hall. The party will be
highlighted by an exchange of
gifts.
Mrs. Bertha Nelson, recently
elected auxiliary president for
1958, states that plans will be
discussed for the installation to
be held the third Sunday in
January.
Mrs. Josephine Widner and
Mrs. Audley White are co-chairmen
of the refreshment commit
tee for the Christmas party and
the entertainment committee
will include Mrs. James Cech,
chairman; Miss Donna Unger
and Miss Carolyn Vanderstteen.
