Central Point Miss Linda
Lou Baer, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. H. Baer, 6369 Ponderosa
street, Central Point, became the
bride of Walter Leon Brenner,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Truman E.
Brenner, route 1, box 579, Cen
tral Point, in a ceremony held
Wednesday, November 20, at the
Central Point Church of Christ.
The Rev. Mr. Jean M. Shelley
officiated at thhe double ring
8:30 o'clock evening ceremony,
attended by 25 relatives of the
couple.
Given in marriage by her
brother Barry E. Baer, the bride
wore a white knit suit with
white satin hat and short veil.
She carried a white orchid on
a Bible.
Miss Nancy Faye Eck was maid
of honor. She wore a baby blue
colored suit and carried a pink
carnation bouquet. Miss Virginia
Bean was candlelighter. She
wore a pale green frock with
a camelia corsage.
Franklin Saxbury served as
best man.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Baer wore a black dress
with matching accessories. Mrs.
Brenner chose a black turquoise
and pink print dress with black
accessories. They both had pink
carnation corsages.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was held at the Brenner
home. Miss Eck cut and served
the wedding cake while Mrs.
Don Boone, aunt of the bride
from Warsaw, Ind., served the
coffee and Miss Virginia Bean
poured the punch.
The couple traveled to Calif
ornia and Nevada on their wed
ding trip. "The bridegroom, a
commissaryman third class in the
United State Navy, is a graduate
of Crater High school. He re
ported to Bremerton, Wash., fol
lowing the wedding and is now,
serving aboard the USS Midway.
The bride is a graduate of Med
ford High school.
Meeting Planned

Jacksonville Mrs. Marion
Niedermeyer will entertain the
Women's association of Jackson
ville First Presbyterian church
at her home on Route 2, Tuesday,
December 10, for a 1 p.m. des
sert luncheon.
Installation of officers will be
held during the business meet
ing with Mrs. Robert Bridge as
installing officer. President of
the association is Mrs. John
Keaveny. All women of the
church are invited to attend.

a party at the Dobra home during
the Thanksgiving holidays.
Miss Dobra is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Dobra, Hills
boro, and is a graduate of Mul
nomah School of Bible at Port
land. She is currently attending
Southern Oregon college.
Mr. Ragsdale is a son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Ragsdale oj route

senior at Southern Oregon col
lege. No wadding date has been set.

Harry Goode, Shady Cove, an
nounce the engagement and ap
proaching marriage of their
daughter, Patricia Ann, to Mi
chael James Kaiser, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Michael Kaiser, Eagle
Point.
Miss Goode is a student at Ea
gle Point High school, and her
fiance is a graduate of the same
school.
The couple plans to be mar
ried during the Christmas holidays.
Three Play With
College Orchestra
Corvallis Miss Janet Ann
Carter, Miss Betty J. Hershiser
and Thomas D. Robertson of
Medford are members this year
of the Oregon State College-Cor-vallis
Symphony orchestra. Miss
Carter plays the timpani, Miss
Hershiser the viola, and young
Robertson plays the string bass
and tuba.
They were selected among the
50 orchestra members by the
music department, following au
ditions of interested students and
Corvallis townspeople.
First community concert of
the group was presented Novem
ber 26. A second concert is
planned for winter term at OSC
and a children's concert is
planned spring term as a spe
cial event for youngsters of the
Corvallis area. John A. O'Con
nor, associate professor of music
at the college, is conductor.
Miss Carter, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Carter, 1111
Reddy avenue, is a sophomore
enrolled in the lower division of
liberal arts. A sophomore in en
gineering, Miss Hershiser is a
daughter of the C. D. Her
shishers, 1255 Sweet road.
Thomas Robertson is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon C. Robert
son, 1028 West Ninth street.

Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Thompson,

bridegroom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. R. T. Lake, Willow Ranch,
Calif.
The Rev. B. J. Holland of
ficiated at the two o'clock after
noon wedding attended by mem
bers of the couple's immediate
families.
The bride wore a white faille
sheath dress styled with empire
waist and draped back and car
ried a bouquet of pink rosebuds
and white stephanotis encircl
ing a white orchid.
Miss Sharon Larimer, Med
ford, cousin of the bride, was
her attendant. She wore a deep
turquoise colored taffeta frock.
Charles Lake served as best
man for. his brother.
Baskets of white "and pink
chrysanthemums decorated the
church for the ceremony.

ception was held at the Harold

mc highway for about 100 rela
tives and friends. Miss Carol
Ballard cut and served the wed
ding cake while Mrs. Larry Lar
imer, aunt of the bride, poured
the coffee, and Mrs, Ernest
James, all Medford, presided at
the punch bowl. Miss Sandra
Owens was in charge of the
guest bo"bk.
The couple are making their
home at 430 North Grape street,
Medford, following a wedding
trip to California and Nevada.
The bride attended Phoenix
High school and Southern Ore
gon college and is employed as
an IBM operator at Bear Creek
orchards. Mr. Lake attended
Modoc Union High school and
served with the United States
Navy for four years. He is em
ployed by Cascade Wood Prod
ucts. Out of town guests at the wed
ding included Mr. and Mrs. Ken
neth Grubbs Jr., and Denise and
Karen, Kenneth-Grubbs,. all St.
Helena, Calif., relatives of the
bride; Miss Jo' Anne Sims and
Mrs. Grace Hogen, grandmother
of the bridegroom, both Lake
