Fish bowl
o n the tip of California's Palos Verdes peninsula, near Los
Angeles, is a gargantuan fishbowl built at a cost of
" $4,000,000 and filled with more than 1,000,000 gallons of ocean
water and 5,000 species of fish. The underwater zoo includes giant
octopuses, deadly piranhas, playful porpoises, and
"Bubbles," the only whale in captivity. "Marineland of
the Pacific," as it is known,is the world's largest oceanarium.
It has become a major attraction for tourists,
who consider it a pretty entertaining kettle of fish.
