future, man hopes to invade
outer space. By then he will have
built a rocket ship powerful enough
to blast itself out of the earth's atmos
phere and, once in space, rugged enough
to withstand the indiscriminate attacks
of cosmic rays and meteors. He will
have built into that ship a cabin suffi
cient to sustain him indefinitely in a
foreign element.
But all this will have been wasted if
he hasn't overcome another problem.
Picture this scene:
