Indictment Against
Minielly Dismissed
Portland IP Circuit Judge
James W. Crawford Thursday
dismissed two perjury indict
ments against George Minielly,
Multnomah county deputy sher
iff. The action relieved Minielly
of all charges brought against
him by Multnomah county grand
juries.
Arthur Higgs, assistant attor
ney general, said the indict
ments were dismissed because
"the alleged false statements by
Minielly were not material to
the issues under consideration
at the time."
