Blood Transferred City po
9 lice were called Sunday night
about 10:45 p.m. to transport a
pint of blood, type AB positive,
from Sacred Heart hospital to
Rogue River Memorial hospital.
Hospital authorities said that the
blood was for a Frank Hagle who
was undergoing major surgery.
His condition is listed as 'im
proving" Monday morning.

men reported today. Firemen
said apparently the oven had
been turned on sometime prior
to the time the gas was-ignited.

On Increased Volume
New York (IP) Stocks
strengthened today on slightly
increased volume.
Several of the leading indust
rials turned strong to help lift
that average. Standard of New
Jersey, weak recently on a plan
ned stock offering, moved high
er. Other oils held steady to
firm. ,
A better market developed for
Du Pont, Eastman Kodak, Chrys
ler, and Bethlehem Steel.
There were still several losers,
most of them outside the group
used to calculate the averages.

Mr. Wilson was born Oct. 12,
1881, in Quincy, 111., and had
lived practically his entire life
in Oregon. For the past eight

Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Nancy
B. Day, Long Beach, Calif.; and
Mrs. Anna C Eads, Medford,
and several nieces and nephews.

Frank C. Hagle, 56, of Corey
Road, died yesterday in a local
hospital.
The body will lie in state at
Conger-Morris Funeral home un
til Wednesday evening, when it
will be taken to Lebanon, Ore.,
for services.

la M. Kier, 50, of 854 East Ninth
st., Medford, who died Monday,

Mrs. Kier was bom in Court
land, Kan., March 20, 1907. She
was a member of the Moose of
Medford.
She is suryived by her hus
band, Glen L. Kier, Medford; a

Redding, Calif.; one brother,
Chester Hunt, Salina, Kan,; her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson
Charles, Salina, Kan.; and two
granddaughters.
