The popularity of the ensemble offen many chances for
blouse coordination in fall wardrobes. Worn over or under lhe
skirt, blouses have new appeal. For a fall eyecaicher. Gregory
creates the "shirtigan" in a casual overblouse with vestee.
The surrealistic print aires Gabey's man-tailored shirt lots of
color.
Cordy Advises Use
Of Bosc Pear Spray
Stop mold should not be used
when washing Bosc pears be
cause of residue tolerance, g.
B. Cordy, county horticultural
gent, hat warned orcardists.
All Bosc should be sprayed
with Zlram to help reduce stor
age rots.
Cordy advises use of seven
pounds of Ziram per acre in air
blast sprayers or one and one-
half pounds per 100 in high
pressure rigs.
Delay in application will re
duce effectiveness because waxes
produced by maturing fruits
may protect spores lodged on
the fruit surface, and early rains
will start infections that later
sprays will not stop, q

Casualness
Noted in
Fall Fashion
The cotton ensemble with its
eased casualness makes a strik
ing note in the parade of fall
fashions, reports the National
Cotton Council. .
Once again the sheath appears,
often bloused and sporting the
added attraction of a bus-boy
bolero, a ip-length jacket, a
cape stole or a coat to complete
a harmonious ensemble. '
Teammates in cotton knit are
effortless to wear and care for,
and they are practical for the
coed and career girl who like to
mix, match and interchange. In
cluded in this casual group are
sleek pants worn with bulky
knitted jackets; skirts and vests
that come in textured jacquard
patterns; printed separates pack
aged prettily in cardigan tops,
middy shirts, shorts, slacks and
skirts.
Corduroy had its face lilted
this season to reveal a new per
sonality that promises fun and
activity. It reflects the 30's In
two-piece middy and skirt sepa
rates. It has grace and warmth
as the shirtwaister and it even
takes a new turn in a perky
back-to-school outfit that has a
reversible cotton plaid lining.
Velveteen is luxuriously en-
sembled for day, date and at
home day-dreaming. It is spar
kling as a sheath which molds
the figure ensembled with an
evening coat. It is printed lavish
ly for sheath and bolero and for
skirt and demi-middy. For lei
sure togs that romp and relax
velveteen is used for tapered
trousers colorfuly topped with
a rug -printed bolero or shirt.
A contrasting wide cummerbund
accents a small waistline.

When you're making apple
sauce to serve with roast pork
or baked Jam, use white table
wine for part of the liquid. It
gives an exciting new flavor to
enhance the meat.
