Bridgeview Community church
was the scene of the wedding
Friday, August 2 of Deanna
Irene Pullen and David Leonard
Kuhn.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Perry L. Pullen,
Bridgeview. Mr. and Mrs. Leo
nard Kuhn of Cave Junction are
the bridegroom's Ifcrents.
The Rev. Martin Brown offici
ated at the single ring ceremony
The bride, given in marriage by
her lather, wore a gown of white
nylon embossed with pink but
terflies. Her corsage was of pink
carnations, encircling a lavender
orchid.
Mrs. Mary Brown was pianist
for the ceremony. Soloist was
Mrs. Myrtle Looper.
Gladiolus and sweet peas dec
orated the church.
Miss Phyllis Mae Brownlee,
wearing a pink orlon frock,
served as maid of honor, while
Perry Lee Pullen was best man
Candlelighters were Edward
Pullen and Gary Bell, who also
served as ushers.
Assisting at the reception
which followed -at the church
were the Misses Vivian Tresham
Vanita Tresham and Linda Poff
The new Mrs. Kuhn chose a
charcoal gray suit flecked with
pink for her going away outfit.
The couple's home is on the
Caves highway.
Bdth young people attended
Illinois Valley high school. Mr.
Kuhn is employed by W. J,
Sowell logging operation.

Medford Woman
Makes Trip East
Mrs. L. A. Crane, 617 Dakota
avenue, has returned from an
eight weeks vacation trip. She
visited her daughter, Mrs. Eu
gene Earle and family in Kent,
Ohio, and another daughter,
Mrs. R. L. Hoy and family and
her sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Pratt, all of
Waterloo, Iowa.
The Pratts accompanied Mrs.
Crane to Ainsworth, Iowa, to
visit a brother, R. L. Colthurst,
and the three then went to Mex
ico for a 17-day tour.
On the return trip they spent
some time with friends in Lynn
wood, Calif., and with a daugh
ter, Mrs. Stanley Williams, and
her family in Los Angeles, as
well as friends in Oakland.
The Pratts are returning to
Iowa the first of the week.
Panel Discussion
Held at Meeting
Of Talent Group
Talent The propagation of
soft wood cuttings was discussed
by a panel at the last meeting
of the Talent Garden club Wed
nesday at the home- of Mrs.
William Bagley. Mrs. Bagley
was program chairman for the
meeting.
It was announced at the meet
ing that the postmaster had
asked the club to plant and cars
for' the planter box that will
be put in front of the new post
office building now under con
struction. To finance this proj
ect the members voted to hold
coffee parties.
Following the dessert lunch
eon the members toured Mrs.
Bagley's greenhouse and saw the
roses blooming that she planted
as seed last 'March.
Newlyweds
To Live In
Medford
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hanel will
make their home at 607 Sher
man avenue, Medford, this week
when they return from their
wedding trip to San Francisco.
Mrs. Hanel is the former Miss
Barbara Cornilles, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Cornilles,
Nampa, Idaho. Her marriage to
Mr. Hanel, son of Mr. and Mrs.
M. W. Hanel, Ashland, was held
Sunday, July 28 at 2:30 o'clock
in the afternoon in the Nampa
First Methodist church.
The Rev. Don Mathews offici
ated at the double ring ceremony
attended by more than 100
guests. Baskets of pink and
white gladiolus and white satin
streamers decorated the church
for the wedding. Val Daugherty
was ' soloist while Miss Elaine
Carlson played the traditional
organ Vredding music;
The bride wore a waltz length
taffeta frock fashioned with fit
ted bodice and sleeves of chan
tilly lace and the bouffant skirt
was accented with wide bands
of matching lace. Her fingertip
length veil was held by a cap
trimmed with seed pearls and
she carried a bouquet of lilies
and stephanotis. She was given
in marriage by her father.
Miss Kay Cornilles was honor
attendant for her sister. She
wore a white nylon eyelet over
pink taffeta frock. Other attend
ants included Miss Alice Sollie,
Canby, Ore., and Mrs. Gordon
Cornilles, sister-in-law of the
bride. They wore frocks fash
ioned as Miss Cornilles' over
blue and green taffeta and car
ried white baskets of daisies
and pink carnations.
Little Debra Cornilles and
Pamela and Julie Cornilles were
flower girls while Joann and
Judy Lewis were candlelighters.
The flower girls were dressed in
blue and pink nylon frocks
while the candlelighters, identi
cal twins, wore pink taffeta.
Leonard Vaughn, Ashland,
served as best man while Gor
don and Jerry Cornilles, broth
ers of the bride, seated the
guests.
For her daughter's wedding
and the reception that followed
Mrs. Cornilles wore a rose lace
dress with white accessories.
Mrs. Hanel also wore a rose lace
dress with white and rose acces
sories. Both had white gladiolus
corsages.
Mrs. J. D. Sites and Mrs. W.
B. Ballard, aunts of the bride,
cut and served the wedding cake
at the reception in the church
pralors. Mrs. J. E. Kling and
Mrs. E. C. Hansen, aunts of the
bride, and Mrs. W. A. Lewis
poured punch. Mrs. Jerry Cor
nilles was in charge of the guest

At Shower Party
Prospect Miss Donna Clark,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clif
ford Clark, Prospect, was hon
ored at a bridal shower last
month. Hostesses for the shower
were Miss Mary Ann Hubbard,
at whose home the shower was
held. Miss Loretta Orgain, and
Miss Beth Biden.
Mrs. Willard Huffman made
the heart shaped centerpiece
which decorated the serving ta
ble set up on the lawn at the
Hubbard home.
Miss Clark is the bride-elect
of Donald Andresen, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Andresen,
Prospect. The wedding was
scheduled for Friday at the
Chapel of the Pines.

the Grants Pass High school.
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Oregon State college. He is em
ployed as a biologist for the
California Oregon Power com
pany in Medford.
The bride chose a black and
white dress with white acces
sories and the corsage from her
bridal bouquet for her traveling
attire.
