KANGAROOCOURT This is the bizarre kangaroo court
of prisoners at a county jail in Redwood City, Calif., which
tried, sentenced and executed a cellmate because he had
been "impersonating an officer" and was "inhospitable."
Slain was Robert Young, 38, who knew for 24 hours in
advance that his fellow prisoners had "sentenced" him,
yet he never told his jailers. Seated are the "judge," Dan
Lee Howard (left) and the "prosecutor," Jose Veithen
. heimer. Standing, left to right: Ernest D. Lopez, "juror;"
Alfred Martinez, defense attorney;" Vernon C. Williams
and Walter White, both "jurors."
