with yellow sash.
Mr. Houghton gave his daugh
ter in marriage, and Henry Pad
gham III, older brother of the
bridegroom, was best man. Ush
ers were William Padgham, an
other brother. Alf Guldahl and
Elmer McDade, brothers-in-law
of the bride.
Mrs. Ernest Conrad played the
wedding marches.
For the wedding and reception
the bride's mother wore a blue
dress with matching hat and or
chid corsage. The bridegroom's
mother wore a beige polished
cotton dress with white orchid
corsage.
Mrs. D. J- Bolton, aunt of the
bridegroom, cut the wedding
cakes using an heirloom knife
loaned by Mrs. W. J. Warner.
The newlyweds will live at 15
Renault after returning from
their wedding trip. For traveling
Eustis, Virginia.

Miss Deloris Jean Pardee,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie
F. Pardee, Gold Beach, became
the bride of Dr. Robert Alton
Guderian. Drain, Ore., in a cere
mony Sunday, June 16, held at
the home of the bridegroom's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
A. Guderian, 1304 West Tenth
street, Medford.
The Rev. Lawrence E. Guder
ian of Tigard, superintendent of
Portland district Methodist Epis
copal church and cousin of the
bridegroom, officiated at the
single ring ceremony at 6:30
o'clock in the afternoon.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
suit and carried a bouquet of
white flowers.
Mrs. Corene Davis, sister of
the bride, came from Gold
Beach to attend the bride. Capt.
Louis I. Lindstrom of Fort Sill,
Okla., served as best man.
Mrs. Carol LeGrander, sister
of the bride of Drain, was solo
ist and Mrs. Inez Smith played
the traditional wedding music.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was held at Guderian
home.
The bride was employed as
the dental office assistant for
Dr. Guderian in Drain. The
bridegroom is a graduate of
Southern Oregon college and the
Oregon Dental school at Port
land. He is now in dental prac
tice at Drain where the couple
will make their home.
Also attending the wedding
were Mr. and Mrs. Fano Hum
phreys, brother-in-law and sister
of the bridegroom.
The newlywed couple will
spend their honeymoon at the
family summer home at Odell
Lake.

way, Medford, in a double ring ceremony held Saturday, June 15
The Rev. Raymond E. Balcomb officiated at the four o'clock after
noon ceremony held at the First Methodist church. Two hundred
guests attended.
Patricia Mae Snook, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Snook,
Route 2. Central Point, to Vern
Irvin Parent. He is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Parent,
Route 1, Central Point. The cer
emony took place Saturday, June
1 8. in First Methodist church.
Medford, with Dr. Raymond
Balcomb officiating. Mr. Snook
gave his daughter in marriage.
The reception was held in the
church parlors. Tall baskets of
garden flowers decorated the
church and parlors for the event,
with the reception flowers being
of lilac and maize.
The bride s wedding gown
was of lace and net over white
taffeta: the bodice was designed
with mandarin collar, and her
veil of white net and matching
lace was made by her mother.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
white Ester Reed daisies with
lilac ribbon.
Mrs. Bert Simmons. Eagle
Point, was her sister's honor at
tendant. Bridesmatrons and
maids were Mrs. Paul McQuadc,
Central Point; Mrs. Gordon Lay
ton, Medford. Miss Sherril von
Buskirk. Central Point and Iiss
Donna Eskew, Gold Hill.
Mrs. Simmons wore a yellow
cotton frock fashioned with boat
neck and very full skirt. Her
shoes, gloves and wide hat
matched her frock in color and
she carried yellow daisies.
Mrs. Layton and Mrs. Mc
Quade were dressed in lilac cot
ton frocks vith matching acces
sories and carried bouquets of
maize colored Ester Reed daisies.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown
of white lace over satin fashion
ed with fitted bodice. The full
skirt formed a train of lace and
tulle. Her fingertip length veil
was held by a crown of sequins
and she carried a white orchid
encircled by stephanotis. Her
gown and veil were designed by
the bride's mother. The bride
wore a lucky penny, borrowed
from her brother, in her slipper.
Mrs. Charles Culy of Happy
Camp, Calif., was matron of
honor and Miss Mary Kay White
and Miss Rosiland Anderson
were bridesmaids. Mrs. Culy
wore a frock of aquamarine
crystalline while the brides
maids were in pale yellow. They
carried bouquets of matching
Ester Reed daisies.
Little Marcia Day, cousin of
the bride from Albuquerque, N.
Mex., was flower girl and Linn
Dalton was ring bearer. Candle
lighters were Earl and Henry
Dalton. brothers of the bride.
Charles Dean served as best
man and William Rombach and
Dale Newton seated the guests.
The church was decorated
with roses and Ester Reed dais
ies. Mrs. Arthur Schafroth of
Denner was soloist.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was held at the Glen

Fresno, Calif., and Lake Tahoe,
and will return here later this
month to live at 3595 Jackson
ville highway.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Wimer
have lived here many years and
are widely known. Mr. Wimer
is head car clerk for the South
ern Pacific company.

For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Dalton chose a light blue
shantung dress with white ac
cessories. Her corsage was of
pink carnations. Mrs. White
wore a blue crepe dress with
pink and white carnation cor
sage. Mrs. Eleanor Mankins
wore a pink lace dress and Mrs.
Anne Dalton was ina silk print
dress. Both are grandmothers of
the bride.
Out of town guests included
Mrs. Clyde Varner and daugh- I
ter, of Rockville, Conn., sister
of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Rutherford and daughter,
Patty, Corvallis: Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Smith, Cave Junction;

of Albuquerque.
The newlywed couple left on ELL
a weaning trip to Yenowstom
National park. The bride chose
for her traveling attire a whit
dacron frock with the white
orchid from her bridal bouquet.
The bride is a graduate of
Medford High school. The bride
groom is a graduate of Phoenix
High school and attended Ore
gon State college. He is the
Snap-On Tool dealer for Jack
son and Josephine counties.

ford recently by air to spend the
summer in Wiesbaden. Germany.
Miss Lynch, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. B. Lynch, 139 Kenwood
avenue, will return in lata sum
mer and enter Lewis and Clark
college in the fall for her sen
ior year.

Mrs. Piatt Andrews and Mrs.
Everett Gillespie were hostesses
for a luncheon Thursday which
honored Miss Harriett Elizabeth
Dowson. bride-elect of Lt. Fred
Cutter Van Bebber. Their wed
ding will be held Sunday, June
30, at First Presbyterian church,
Medford.
Wedding bells, hearts, and
summer flowers decorated the
tables for the luncheon held at
the Gillespie residence on East
Main street.
Following the luncheon bridge
was played. Twelve guests at
tended. Miss Dowson is a daughter of
Mrs. Wasem Dowson, 47 South
Berkley Way. Lt. Van Bebber is
a son of Mrs. Ralph Van Bebber
of Lawrence. Kan.

Miss Sharon Hogan has ar
rived in Medford to spend the
summer with her parents. Mr.
and Mrs. M. N. Hogan. Siskiyou
court. This past year Miss Hogan
taught kindergarten classes in
Garfield elementary school,
Cleveland, Ohio.

Allen, Medford. They wore lilac
colored frocks to match the other
attendants and carried altar can
dles in the lilac-maize colors.
Fred Hoge, Central Point, was
the bridegroom's best man and
ushering were Adrian van Horn
Jr., and Cpl. Lyle Yocum, both
of Central Point, and Gordon
Layton and Gordon Tidwell,
both Medford.
Mrs. Stanley Snook, sister-in-law
of the bride, provided the
wedding music.
For the reception Mrs. Rich
ard Dunn, Central Point, poured
and Mrj. Glodene Eaker. Camp
White, cut the wedding cake.

For the wedding and reception
the bride's mother wore a floral
print ensemble with yellow rose
corsage, and the bridegroom's
mother was attired in a Navy '
blue suit worn with pink rose
corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Parent traveled
to San Francisco for their wed
ding trip, the bride wearing an
ice blue Dior-inspired dress with
white accessories and a corsage
of white Ester Reed daisies. The
newlyweds are now at home at
521 Merriman road.
The bride attended Crater
High school and Southern Ore
gon college, Ashland. She is em
ployed by Cheney Forest prod
ucts as a stenographer. Mr. Par
ent, who attended Crater High
school, Oregon State and South
ern Oregon colleges, is employed
by the Gulf Red Cedar company.
