final rounds, there were a num

the Bend ' 100" of the Oregon
state champions trapshoot Thurs
day by hitting 99 targets out of
100.
Wayne Bothwell of Maupin
was top shooter in the Redmond
handicap with 93 out of 100. He
was followed by Vern Wood
side of Maupin with 92 out of
100.
M. L. Hunt of Bend topped
class A shooting with 98 targets
out of 100. Herman Waske of
Eugene won the class B shoot
with 93 out of 100. Lloyd Haupt
man of Chemult won the class C
event with 97 out of 100 and
Frank Morley of Wedderburn
took the class D title with 89
out of 100.
On the basis of having played
two games and having more
numerous times at bat, Frank
Roelandt, manager of the Med
ford Cheney Studs is the batting
leader of the Rogue Valley
league in its still very young
race.
Three other players boast
better averages but have played
only one league game.
Roelandt will carry a seven
for 11 record and .636 average
into the Studs game with Butte
