ing is scheduled for Wednesday,

At a meeting of the auxiliary
held May 27 convention plans
for 1937 Lions convention to be
held in Medford June 20 through
22 were discussed.
Members of the Butte Falls
group will make the program
covers for the convention with
the members of the Eagle Point
group doing the mimeographing
and inside pages.
The Butte Falls auxiliary will
send two delegates and one del-egate-at-large
to the 1957 conven
tion. Tentatively selected are
Mrs. Cathy, Mrs. Poole, and Mrs.
Charles Capello.
Reports were made on the
picture plate project which was
paid in full and a proposed pro
ject for the coming year was
discussed.
Included in the agenda of the
state convention is the discussion
and adoption of proposed amend
ments to the constitution and a
resolution that would establish
a revolving trust fund to aid the
blind. District E will elect a
district director. To be eligible
for this ofice the member must
be in good standing, a past pres
ident, and her club must be at
least three years old.
During the convention a hat
contest for the ladies will be held
with prizes awarded the most un
usual one.

29 at the home of Mrs. Frank
Chamberlain with Mrs. Jake
Brown as co-hostess. There were
five guests. Mrs. D. Davis. Mrs.
Eva Silvers. Mrs Lula Have.
Mr. Anna Beryl Kecs and
daughter Cecilia. The club also
welcomed Mrs. John Clarke,
who is a member but is visiting
here from California. It was vot
ed to pay the club s pledse to
the Rogue Valley Memorial hos
pital. Mrs. Lillian Force, chairman,
announced the women would
serve and entertain the men at
the June 18 meeting of the
Grange, in honor of Father's
day. Mrs. Lester Wertz was ap
pointed chairman of the enter
tainment committee and Mrs.
Paul Force, chairman of the
food committee.
It was decided to observe
Church Sunday on June 23. All
Grange members are to attend
the church of their choice and
then bring a basket lunch to the
Grange park afterward for a
day of fellowship and relaxa-
