Blinker Light Damaged A
1953 Mercury sedan Sunday
struck a blinker light on High

The vehicle was registred to

New Flight Schedule
West Coast Airlines Sunday
began a new spring-summer
schedule with its fleet of 14
planes flying a total of more
than 10,000 miles a day between
44 cities in Washington, Ore
gon and Idaho.
The new schedule features a
new non-stop . flight between
North Bend-Coos Bay and Port
land. The twin Oregon coast
cities" have been consistently in
the first score of approximately
500 local service airline cities
in passengers boarded per thou
sand population. They now have
four daily roundtrips to and
from Portland.
Another feature is one addi
tional roundtrip between Boise
and the south-eastern Idaho
cities of Twin Falls, Burley
Rupert, Pocatello and Idaho
Falls, making three daily round
trips serving what company of
ficials said was currently the
fastest-growing portion of
WCA's 2,200-mile route.

Truck Driver Killed
Lebanon '(U.R) LaVerne D.
Hawes, 36, Lebanon truck
driver, was killed Saturday
when his fuel truck went out of
control and overturned on the
Lebanon-Sweet Home highway.
Shortly afterward, a bakery
truck crashed into the wrecked
fuel truck and was badly dam
aged but the driver apparently
was not hurt. Hawes' body was
crushed under the vehicle.

Cars Collide Cars operated
by Wesley Melvin Eaton, 16,
Ashland, and Clarence Mead
ows, 19, Talent, collided Satur
day on Butte Falls rd., accord
ing to state police. Officers said
Meadows was stopped in the
road to allow a herd of cows to
pass and Eaton's vehicle struck
the rear of Meadows' car. Both
vehicles were traveling west.
There were no injuries or cita
tions. Damage to the cars was
reported minor.

moving to Eagle Point and later
to Talent.

20, 1878, near Emigrant creek,
where she lived most of her life.

drew and Livonia Dosier.
She was married to Milo A.
Walker, Nov. 12, 1912. He pre
ceded her in death in 1925.
Survivors include one sister,
Mrs. Mattie Baer, Ashland; two
brothers, Phil Dosier, Ashland;
and Hugh Dosier, Mokelumne
Hill, Calif.; and several nieces
and nephews. ,

at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Litwil
ler's Mountain View chapel,
