good jazz this week we're just going

in "Pick Yourself Up"; "Air Mail
Special," by the Lionel Hampton
All-Stars, and Harry Edison and his
band in "Sweets." Bobby Troup gets
top backing from Red Norvo and
other top jazzmen on Liberty's "Do
Re Mi," and another West Coast
company, Pacific Jazz, has three
toppers in "Chet Baker Sings,"
"Chico Hamilton Trio," and the Bud
Shank quartet in concert with Bob
Cooper on "Jazz at Cal-Tech."
The EmArcy label offers "Roy's
Got Rhythm," featuring Roy Eldridge
on trumpet; "Jazz Abroad," with Roy
Haynes and Quincy Jones; a modern
guitar delight titled simply "Bill
Harris," and finally, "Music for
Swinging Moderns" with Dick John
son, sax; Bill Havemann, piano; Bob
McKee, drums; Chuck Sagle, bass;
and Dave Poskonka, bass.
