asks rrie what kind of a guy I'd
like to marry, but I figure it's
about time I said something
about the kind of a guy I
wouldn t want to marry.
First of all, I don't intend to
marry ayone who's not in the
entertainment proiession. I can
just see myself married to an ac
countant, for instance. I'd come
home at night, fuH of news about
the studio and actors and act
resses, and his mind would be
full of figures, the numerical
kind. I need someone who will
have the same interests as I,
Long Walks Enjoyed
Then I won't marry a man
who is steady m his ways. This
may sound strange to you. But
that's the way I feel. I believe
that for the next 10 years I'll
be moving around a lot. I like.to
take long walks on the beach at
crazy hours of the morning and
do odd things. I don t want a
man whose only desire in life
Is to come home, eat supper,
watch television and then go to
bed.
I won't marry a man who'i
sickening Iy rich, or conversly
poverty-stricken. The first va
riety would be content to live on
his money and the second type
would be content to live on my
money.
Compromise Necessary
The man who growls all the
time is not for me. Nor is the
man who thinks that he has to
dominate the household. I feel
that marriage is a compromise
and anyone who can't see my
side of life once in a while is not
the kind of person with whom I
want to spend the rest of my
life. ,
After reading what I have just
written I'll probably be eating
my words. Yes, I can just see it
now: The man I'll marry will
probably have all the character
istics that I don't want in a man.
And, ironically, we'll probably
live happily ever after!
$50,535 Suit Filed
In Circuit Court
Harry L. Cook, 1204 West
Main st., Medf ord, is seeking
$50,535 damages in a suit filed
in circuit court last week against
R. A. and Edna C. Skinner, do
ing business as Skinner's Ga
rage, 143 South Riverside ave.
The suit" was filed as the re
sult of an accident occurring on
Feb. 3, 1956 at a car lot owned
by the defendants. According to
the complaint. Cook was walk
ing on the car lot toward his car,
which had been left at the
garage for servicing, when he
slipped on some ice and fell.
He states in the . complaint
that he received miscellaneous
injuries, including a left hip
fracture, post-traumatic concus
sion, contusions and abrasions,
and that the accident resulted in
permanent injuries.
Cook charges the defendants
with four counts of negligence
in connection with the accident,
including failure to remove ice
on the premises failure to use
ashes, salt or other suitable sub
stance for covering the ice and
failure to warn the plaintiff of
danger in walking on the lot.
Cook asks a jury trial, $5,
535.68 special damages and $45,
000 general damages, as well
as costs and disbursments for
the court action. He is represent
ed by the Portland law firm of
Poole and Farris.

cause law requires that counties
must be billed for their share
not later than May 1.
