the committee for one year. The
committee is comprised of rep
resentatives of the major winter
pear producing areas of the west
coast and serves to advise the
USDA on marketing problems of
the industry,
High School Seniors Plan io Visit OSC
Corvallis Twelve high school
seniors from the Medford area
will visit Oregon State college
this week end for a preview of
college educational o p p ortuni
ties. The week end is desienprf to
give graduating seniors a chance
to explore career possibilities in
various fields of study and to
talk with staff members about
academic requirements.
Special social and sports
events also are planned to acqu
aint students with campus act
ivities. Seniors are housed in
student living organizations. The
week end, know as "Beaver Pre
view" at OSC, is part of a pro
gram conducted by all state
system schools.
Students planning to attend
include Jim Miller, Dennis Pat
ton, Patrick Clifford, Karl Doug
las Cummings, David Espey Sal
lie Greaser, and Howard Harper,
all of Medford; Bruce Murnett
and Jerry E. Golden, of Gold
Hill; Gary DeGarmo and Max
B. Frederick, of Central Point;
and Fred Greene of Eagle Point.
