The statistics were released
Tuesday by the State Census
Board. Since the state census is
conducted in cities for the pur
pcafe of adjusting liquor and
kighway fund allocations, a state
population total is not reached.

111 per cent since 1950. At the
other extreme, Granite, in Grant
county, lost all but three of the

22,222, up 28.4 per cent; Klamath
Falls 19,000, up 19.7 per cent;
Pendleton 15,174, up 23.5; The
Dalles 11,250, up 46.6; LaGrande
9,100, up 5.4; Bend 12,450, up
9.1; Astoria 12,331, no change;
Roseburg 13,000, up 54.9; Coos
Bay 7,450, up 19.7; Ashland
8,750, up 13.1; Springfield 13,500
