A Spokane, Wash., golfer made a hole-in-one,
but couldn't brag about it. He had prom
ised his wife not to play that day!
Playing a bad lie in the creek that runs
through the Gainesville, Ga., golf course, a
caddy swung a 9 iron and blasted a ten
inch fish out of the water.
A college senior in Utica, N. Y., lost a 15
cent bet on a golf match because he was un
nerved by finding $9,200 on the fairway!

posted this notice: "MEMO: All you younger

A New London, Conn., club hired a puck of
pointer dogs, treated golf balls with pheasant
scent and solved its lost-ball problem!
A Tacoma, Wash., woman couldn't find the
ball with which she had teed off. She finally
discovered the reason she'd made a hole-in-one!
While approaching the 11th hole, four
South African golfers saw a figure walking
close to the green. Closer inspection disclosed
that calling "Fore" would be useless the
trespasser was a baboon!
The golf course at Capetown, South Africa,
adjoins a railway. During nn important
match, while one player's ball hesitated on
the lip of the cup, a train thundered by and
the ball dropped in!
