painted TV pajama set modeled
by Mrs. M. H. Parsons. .
Receiving special attention
from the audience was Mrs.
Charlotte McCullough, 82 years
of age, who modeled half-sizes
for the mature figure. A high
fashion swim suit of yellow
sharkskin lastex with jewelled
and gold braid trim was worn
by Miss Lynn Williams and a
black negligee ensemble in-dus-
ter style and of Chinese influ
ence shown by Mrs. A. B. Davis
Mrs. Williams modeled a high
fashion pure silk metallic taffeta
formal; the simple sheath silhou
ette was given a large full bow
as back treatment.
Men's fashions included both
dress and sport attire. Drawing
everyone's attention was a cot
ton plaid dinner jacket with
satin striped trousers and black
tassel loafer shoes worn by Wil
son Smith.

The party is being sponsored

parted early in January, and

Potluck refreshments will be
served, and coffee and punch
will be furnished by the class.
Doug .Fosbury, caller for the
Y Knot Twirlers Square Dance
club which meets at the Y, was
instructor for the beginners
course. An intermediate course,
for advanced students and per
sons who would like to "brush
up" on dancing, will be held for
six weeks starting Monday eve
ning, April 22, Fosbury said.

Easter theme. Chairman for the
event was Mrs. Floyd Robertson,

with Mrs. M. H. Parsons as
model chairman.
Welcomed into the club as a
new member was Mrs. E. E.
Fields.
Special awards were won by
Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Parsons and
Owen Ludwick.

hall, Thursday, March 11 at
12:30 p.m. All women residing
in Medford or vicinity for less
than two years are invited to at
tend and become members.

groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.

avenue, Medford.

ed by immediate families of the
couple at the home of the bride
groom's sister and brother-in-law.
For her wedding the bride
wore a white satin sheath dress
with white accessories. Her cor
sage was a white orchid and
white violets.
Following the wedding a re
ception was held at the Breeden
home on Table Rock road.
Mrs. Lee Rice cut and served
the wedding cake and Mrs.
Dwayne Johnson poured the
punch. Miss Kathy McCay and
Miss Judy McGraw assisted with
the serving. Miss Lana McGraw
was in charge of the guest book.
The newlyweds left for Car
mel, Calif., following the cere
mony on their wedding trip.
They are making their home at
176 DeHague avenue in Medford.
The bride was graduated from
Phoenix High school and is em
ployed as a telephone operator
for Pacific Telephone and Tele
graph. The bridegroom was grad
uated from Medford High school
and served with the United
States Navy for four years. He
is employed as a carpenter for
Rogue Valley construction com

To Hold Meetings
Three women's guilds of St.
Mark's Episcopal church will
meet this week.
The newly organized St. Tere
sa's guild will meet Tuesday,
April 9, at the home of Mrs. Ray
mond Fish, Old Stage road. Co
hostesses will be Mrs. Houston
Pitts. The guild organization
was completed at' a March meet
ing held at the home of Mrs.
C. O. Lovejoy, Old Military
road. Mrs. Fish was named pres
ident and Mrs. Pitts, secretary
treasurer. Meetings are to be held the
second Tuesday of each month.
St. Catherin's guild members
will hear the Rev. George R. V.
Bolster, rector of the church,
speak at a meeting Monday,
April 8 at 8 p.m., in the Parish
house.

Safety Program
Planned for PTA
Jacksonville A program on
safety will be presented at the
monthly meeting of Jacksonville
Parent - Teacher association on
Wednesday, April 10, at 8 p.m.
in the Music room.
Dick Souza, fireman and
Charles Offenbacher, state pa
trolman, will discuss the safety
program in general, and Francis
Guidry, principal of the Jack
sonville grade schools, will dis
cuss the safety program of the
schools in particular.
Officers will be elected.
A room prize will be present
ed to the room having the larg
est representation of parents
present.
Mr. Guidry emphasizes that
April 10 will also be visitation
day inthe grades all day from
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Ceremony Held
In Long Beach
Miss Lee Anna Haas became
the bride of Gilbert R. Westwell
in a ceremony held Saturday,
March 2, at 5:30 o'clock in the
afternoon at the Aloha Chapel,
in Long Beach, Calif.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Haas, 805
Narregan street, Medford, and
has been making her home at
36 North Daisy avenue in Long
Beach. She is employed by Pa
cific Employers Insurance com
pany there.
The bridegroom is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Westwell,
Portland, and has been making
his home in Long Beach since
he was discharged from the
Army. He is currently attending
Long Beach City college and is
employed as a life guard at the
Long Beach Municipal pool.
For her wedding the 'bride
wore a white taffeta dress with
white accessories and a white
orchid corsage. Mrs. Frank Mor
ris attended her sister. She wore
a pink frock with white accessories.
Frank Morris served as best
man.
Following the wedding a re
ception and dinner was given the
newlyweds by friends in the
lounge and patio at the munici
pal pool. Flowers and white bells
decorated the area where the re
ception was held.
The couple are now at home
at 545 West First street, Long
Beach.
The bride attended public
schools in Medford and was grad
uated from high school in Port
land. The bridegroom attended
schools in Portland.

are now making their home at
Smith River, Calif., after their
wedding Sunday, March 10 in
Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Sanders is the former
Miss Gladys L. Goetz, a daugh
ter of Mrs. Emma Goetz of Yaki
ma, Wash., and had been making
her home in Medford. She was
employed as a dental technician
by Dr. B. L. Lageson.
Mr. Sanders, a son of Mrs.
Ella Sanders of Lebanon, Ore.,
is a partner in the Ship-A-Shore
Skyroom and dining room at the
mouth of the Smith River.

Mrs. Uceny was employed by
the Mail Tribune when she lived
in Medford at 305' South Oak
dale avenue more than 10 years
ago. She had written western
