THE CITY OF MEDFORD DOTH
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section L Whereas the City of Med
ford did heretofore cause to be con
structed and laid a water main within
the City of Medford on Grape Street
from Monroe Street to a point 826
feet North and the cost of said water
main has not been paid and the
Council is of the opinion that said
water main may be used by the
property fronting on said street where
in said water main has been laid as
a lateral water main without ma
terially interfering with the use there
of for the purpose for which it was
originally laid, and:
WHEREAS the Council did. after
said water main was laid, declare, by
resolution, its intention to assess the
property fronting on said street within
which said water main was laid and
which is proposed to permit the own
ers of adjacent property to use for
lateral water main purposes and did.
said resolution, designate the
amount per front foot which it pro
posed to assess against said adjacent
property, and;
WHEREAS said resolution was duly
posted and published as required by
the Charter, and whereas a meeting
of the Council was held at the time
and place fixed in said resolution
for the purpose of considering any
protests against such assessment, but
no protests were made at such time
or at any time tnereto ana ine coun
cil having considered the matter and
deeming that the use of said water
main tor lateral purposes, as ai ore-
said, is of material benefit to the
said City and that all of the property
to be assessed therefor will be bene
