In its battle with Grants Pass

shooting, well-geared team play,
i some fine ballhawking which
spoiled the Cavemen offensive
and exercised rebound eontrol
under its offensive board to
ramble toa wide lead in the first
half. Medford never trailed in
the contest.
Beth Turn Cold

six more points while GP got
one to establish the final margin.
At Klamath the Crater Com

; after three minutes of the second
quarter had passed, Klamath put
iits fast break going and pulled
away to a comfortable spread.

over a stretch to none by GP for
a 22 point lead at 35 to 13.
Grants Pass closed the gap to 35
to 20 against a complete unit of
Medford reserves.
In the third quarter, the Tor
nado got nine points on free
throws, although missing a good
number of chances, to make up
field goal lack and outscore the
: Cavemen 15 to 12.
i Herrman Cats 2t

bockers in the Eastern division
face of the National Basketball

24 and 21 points respectively,
buried the Knicks still deeper
in last place Tuesday night by
handing them a 99-92 defeat in
Madison Square Garden to re
main tied for second place with
Philadelphia. The Warriors,
scoring as they pleased, wal
loped the Fort Wayne Pistons,
114-80, in the opener of the
doubleheader.
In the only other game played,
the St. Louis Hawks nipped
Boston, 104-102.
