The 1957 "One Great Hour of
Sharing" united appeal is the
ninin annual cooperative eiiori
of the denominations working
together in ministry to overseas
need. a
The new responsibility of the
churches for resettlement and
other assistance to Hungarian
and other refugees from oppres
sion and the continuing world
wide free distribution of surplus
American foodstuffs. Sibley said,
are major items of the total
schedule. o
Major areas of need overseas
which will be aided through the
"One Great Hour of Sharing"
united appeal include Austria
and Hungary, India, Pakistan,
Korea, the Near East, Japan,
Greece, Germany, France, Italy,
Hong Kong andnddTiesia.

overseas distribution of cloth
ing donated through Service
Centers as well as the overseas
distribution of foods collected
by file Church World Service
Christian Rural Overseas Pro
gram (CROP).
Also supported through the
United Appeal, both in individ

term health and nutrition pro
grams, splf-help projects, voca
Oonai, training and other min
istries to the homeless and des
titute. All of One overseas assistance

a basis of need, without any
question of race, color or crged.
